Building A Liquor Storage Cabinet

Liquor Storage Cabinet – A liquor storage cabinet is not just a way to store your spirits but it is also an easy way to keep it out of reach of small children. To build your own liquor storage cabinet, you will need sheets of plywood and some screws. Once you’ve drawn up a sketch of your design, the construction process is quite simple. When you are done with the design of your cabinet, you can choose to leave it freestanding or mount it on the wall in your home.

Wall Mounted Liquor Storage Cabinet

Before building your liquor storage cabinet draws the sketch of your liquor storage cabinet design on a sheet of paper. Measure dimensions of the space you intend to fill with your liquor cabinet with a measuring tape. Use a circular saw to cut two sheets of 1/2-inch pine to length and depth of your spirits box. Cut two more sheets of 1/2-inch pine with the depth and height, minus an inch, of the side panels. Mount four pieces of pine, you just cut in a rectangular shape. Place the side panels between the ends of the upper and lower panels. Cut another sheet of 1/2-inch pine to your liquor cabinet length and height.

Flip the cabinet frame over so the open side is facing up. Measure and mark ranges for your interior shelves on the side panels. Use the circular saw to cut your shelves from the 1/2-inch pine. For the shelves horizontally between the side panels of the cabinet where you made your pencil marks. Attach shelves by performing 1 1/2-inch wood screws through the side panels of the shelves. Construct a door for your liquor storage cabinet by cutting a different piece of 1/2-inch pine to your cabinet length and height. Fill all nail and screw holes with wood filler and let it dry completely then sand the surface of the cabinet level of fine-grain sandpaper. Paint or stain your spirits storage cabinets.
